1 Corinthians 2:9

However, as it is written: “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him”

I was enjoying a day full of shopping with my little cousin when I came across this Jones soda bottle top. I’ve always been a sucker for fortunes. I don’t necessarily believe in them, but they are fun to collect and acquire. The fortune I found in this cap made me think about the intentions of the author when he typed it up. What is his/her definition of “land of sunshine”? It’s neat to sit back and analyze our personal take on what exactly we’d call a land of sunshine. I took it as two different concepts.

The first one being Heaven. No matter what goes on down here or what battles we face, the ultimate goal is His kingdom. I often lose sight of that goal. I don’t always have a Heaven mind-set. When I walk around, the people I see should be counted as souls not merely flesh. One day every single person will be in eternity somewhere and as a Christian I should live my life with that mind-set. That should charge me to live intentionally with others showing them the love of Christ. Sharing His sunshine with them

Two, happiness is coming! Summer has started and with that comes trips! I’m leaving Monday the 23rd for Prague. Can you believe it!? I am ridiculously excited for that day. I have a lot to look forward to. If you ask me, I would call this summer my land of sunshine.

I’m obsessed with this ministry! I watched a video on a blog I recently discovered called Three20. She is seriously awesome, check her out!! To find more videos, follow the link here.

I must begin getting ready for my hair appointment. This girl got some surrrious split ends. I’m trying to let it grow out a bit, but that doesn’t mean I can allow it to go completely nuts. I’m still learning you guys..

What do you have to look forward to this summer?! Please share your planned trips with me
